Tree: A Peek-Through Board Book

An owl peeks out through a hole in the cover and welcomes little readers inside to meet a grand old tree and the forest animals who share it through the year. Named one of the New York Public Library's 100 Best Books for Kids in 2016, this board-book edition of Britta Teckentrup's beloved story is made for curious young minds.

Clever peekaboo cut-outs on every spread reveal who is living in the tree as the seasons turn: bear cubs tumbling about in spring, bees humming around the apples in summer, squirrels tucking away nuts in autumn, and the owl alone keeping warm through winter, until the year begins again. As animals appear and disappear with each page turn, children learn how a forest and its residents change over the year.
