Pick A Pine Tree

This festive read-aloud is full of the joy and excitement of Christmastime, beginning, of course, with choosing the tree!

Much of the season's magic comes from the traditions families and friends share each year: hanging stockings, setting lights in the windows, and, most important of all, picking out a Christmas tree and bringing it home. Debut author Patricia Toht and Jarvis, author-illustrator of Alan's Big, Scary Teeth, capture every step of trimming the tree, from hauling out boxes stuffed with ornaments and trimmings to stringing tinsel and, finally, switching on those twinkling lights. With rhythmic, rhyming text and joyful mixed-media illustrations, this celebration of family, friends, and the holidays is as merry as the tradition it depicts.
