Deer, Small Head High

This small roe deer fawn lifts its head as if listening to the forest. It's part of Margarete Ostheimer's earliest deer designs and joins the roebuck and grown deer for a gentle woodland family.

Ostheimer figures are hand-carved and hand-painted in Germany with non-toxic, plant-based watercolors on sustainably sourced wood. Because every piece is shaped by hand, no two are identical, and their simple forms leave plenty of room for a child's imagination.
